Beginners Pottery Course

This 4 week course has been created for those wanting to dip their toes into the world of pottery but have never touched clay since their school days!
The beginners pottery course will introduce you to different clays, handbuilding techniques and different decoration and glaze applications. By the end of the course, you will have all the fundamental skills (plus some lovely final pieces to show off!)
Week one: learning about clay and creating simple forms
Week 2: refining your pieces before moving on to more complex slab built forms.
Week 3: sculpture. Creating animals from solid lumps of clay and using tools to carve and sculpt.
Week 4: glazing. A range of glazes will be provided for you to experiment with and bring your pieces to life!
