Enjoy a creative and relaxing Friday evening at the Art Hub in downtown Carleton Place as you unwind and let your imagination flow in a painting class inspired by old-growth forests. You’ll explore fun techniques with acrylics and take home your own finished piece – no prior painting experience is required.

Create your own old-growth cedar tree painting in a fun, step-by-step class guided by local artist Donna Naprstek. Enjoy a welcoming, easygoing atmosphere designed for beginners and experienced painters alike. Canvases and paint are provided; brushes will be available to purchase.
The session will also feature guest speaker, Eric Boysen! Eric is a local Lanark County forester who works with his forester wife, Barbara, on a wide range of natural environment projects. Together, their focus is on maple syrup production, conifer plantation management and generally helping woodlot owners restore their own. Eric will share how to recognize and restore old-growth features and functions to our local forests.
Participants will:
