BOOK LAUNCH Walking: A sociological field guide

This special event celebrates the publication of (Manchester University Press, 2026). The event will feature a fireside chat with the editors, Charlotte Bates and Emma Jackson, who will share their reflections on the collection and their experiences of walking as a teaching technique and as a research practice, and readings and a discussion with some of the contributors, including Katherine Quinn and Robin Smith. There will also be an opportunity to go out in small groups to try out some of the walking exercises published in the collection together.
