Ancient Crafts Weekend - Amber and Bone Working Workshops

Join archaeologist and heritage educator Vanessa Bunton from Puku B for the Ancient Crafts Weekend - Amber and Bone Working Workshops at CAER Heritage and learn about Amber and Bone and their uses through this hands-on experience!

There are archaeological examples of Amber and Bone being used for personal ornamentation throughout history. During this two-day workshop you will use ancient methods to work your own Amber or Bone into a finished piece of jewellery. As part of the workshops you can also learn how to make cordage from natural fibres to string up your Amber or Bone piece.

Expert instructor Vanessa will guide you through the process, teaching you traditional techniques. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, these workshops are perfect for anyone interested in ancient crafts. Tea and Coffee is available. Bring a packed lunch.
