About the event

Biodynamics pt 1 - Seeing the World Anew: Foundations of Biodynamics
Explore the foundational principles of biodynamic agriculture! Cosmic rhythms, elemental forces, & plant intelligence shaping life on earth.

About this Event

Join us for a two part series on Biodynamics and Sacred Agriculture!

These classes can be taken separately, or together for a deeper dive!

  • Aug. 9th
  • Sept. 6th

This first class introduces the foundational principles of biodynamic agriculture, exploring how cosmic rhythms, elemental forces, and plant intelligence shape life on Earth.

Learn the basics of the biodynamic calendar and how to apply its wisdom to your garden or farm!

We'll engage in hands-on observation practices to sharpen your awareness of the living world. This is a beautiful practice in land stewardship, reciprocity, and how to more deeply connect to the natural world around you.

What is Biodynamics?

  • The history
  • My perspective
  • How it's used

The Earth as a Cosmic Being

  • Lime/clay/silica Matrix
  • The Ethers - Earth, Water, Air, Fire
  • How we see the ethers in the world

The Biodynamic Calendar 101

  • Maria Thun and Stella Natura
  • Planetary rhythms and their connection to life
  • How to read the calendar and apply that to your gardens, farms, beekeeping, etc.

Practicum: Goethean observation as a form of phenomenology

  • Experiential exploration in the garden to work hands on with a biodynamic preparation plant like nettle or yarrow and facilitate an observation on how we can sharpen our senses to the natural world.
