Cape Vincent Celebrates Path Through History Weekend with
Tours, Entertainment, and Local Heritage
The Cape Vincent Historical Museum and Tibbetts Point Lighthouse Historical Society are proud to present a weekend full of local history, culture, and community in celebration of New York State’s Path Through History Weekend, taking place October 11–13.
This three-day event will offer visitors and residents alike a unique opportunity to explore Cape Vincent’s rich past through guided tours, live entertainment, and local exhibits across the village.

Exclusive Lighthouse Tours:
For one weekend only, visitors will have the rare chance to tour the iconic Tibbetts Point Lighthouse, typically closed to the public. Tours will be offered daily at 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM. Between tours, enjoy live entertainment at the Lighthouse Pavilion.
Cape Vincent Historical Museum Open House:
The Museum will be open from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day, showcasing exhibits and artifacts that tell the story of Cape Vincent’s past. Pick up a brochure for the “Stone Houses of Cape Vincent, New York & Other Historical Homes” self-guided driving tour and explore the area’s beautiful architecture and historic residences at your own pace.
Local Business History Displays:
Businesses throughout the village will be featuring brief histories of their buildings, complete with historic photos and interesting facts.
