We had such an incredible turnout and amazing support at last year’s Kom Red Run — so we’re thrilled to be bringing it back this Women’s Day! 🏃♀️❤️
As we move into Women’s Month this August, we’re reminded to celebrate and honour the women in our lives and to keep raising awareness about the challenges many women and girls still face.
Code Red Initiative was founded to address menstrual inequity in the Deep South. Over the last 5 years, we’ve trained local women to sew reusable pads, which have been distributed across Masiphumelele, Ocean View, and Red Hill.
This year, we’re partnering once again with the amazing teams at @komrunclub and @deepsouthtrail to host a community run and fundraiser on Saturday, 9 August in Kommetjie.
📍 Kom Surf Shop, Saturday , 9 August
