At the age of 2 Beau received a diagnosis of Autism Level 3. He is now 6 and nonverbal however does try his best to communicate verbally, this has created many struggles for Beau, including behavioral issues due to frustration. Dr. Frye is a pediatric neurologist in Phoenix, Arizona, he conducted research on children like Beau with a medication that helps folate bypass a blockage to the brain and improve speech. It's been found up to 70% of children with autism have this blockage. All the patients Dr.Frye conducted research on developed speech. This could be life changing for Beau however insurance will not cover Beau's appointment.
