2025 Lake Almanor Grebe Festival

Join us August 8-20, 2025 for the 8th Annual Lake Almanor Grebe Festival!

With a desire to protect grebe breeding habitat and support local communities, Plumas Audubon Society began hosting the Grebe Festival in 2016 to create more public awareness of Western and Clark’s grebes, their conservation, and how water management affects the grebes’ breeding success at Lake Almanor—and to celebrate these extraordinary birds. For the first time ever, Grebe Festival headquarters will be located at Plumas Pines Resort on the west shore of Lake Almanor. The resort features lodging, a delectable restaurant and bar, live music you can enjoy on the lawn overlooking the lake (bring a picnic blanket or your favorite chair!), and more.
