Queer Book Club (18+) - May

Queer in Canton is thrilled to announce our brand-new Book Club! Every month, we’ll meet at the Queer in Canton Community Center - 2663 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton, OH 44709 - for a lively discussion on today's most intriguing books and topics ranging from self-help to queer books. This is 18 and older only. 📚📖📕

This month we're reading "Me and White Supremacy" by Layla Saad. We'll meet Wednesday, May 28th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for a lively discussion about the book. Learn More: tinyurl.com/qic-bookclub-1

Summary of the book: When Layla Saad began an Instagram challenge called #MeAndWhiteSupremacy, she never predicted it would spread as widely as it did. She encouraged people to own up and share their racist behaviors, big and small. She was looking for truth, and she got it. Thousands of people participated in the challenge, and over 90,000 people downloaded the Me and White Supremacy Workbook.

More about the Queer in Canton Book Club: A group of people read a book, then gather around to discuss what they read. Our book club is self-led, meaning there isn’t a facilitator to lead the group. Folks who show up will lead their own discussion about that month’s book. We will provide a list of questions to help group discussion.
