The image of the unfinished yarn bowl is the shape and size we are making and is not a finished glazed piece. the "group picture" is of actual bowls made in class. The remaining images are glazes samples. This is not a wheel throwing class.
You’ll receive a pre slab rolled piece of stoneware clay. You’ll use provided patterns and tools to cut out the pieces and score and join the sides, creating the bowl! This is a detailed build as we are shaping a flat slab into a rounded bowl. You'll also cut a swirl and holes for the yarn.
What is provided: Instruction, ware boards to shape and manage your clay project. Slab rolled clay, Patterns, tools for smoothing, cutting, finishing and shaping the clay. We’ll talk about glazes and you will be able to choose your colors.
The pieces created will then be brought back to my studio for drying and bisque & glaze firings. Finished glazed projects will be available, in 3/4 weeks of class, allowing time for drying, bisque firing and glazing & glaze firing.
Classes must be prepaid and are non-refundable. Optional, I can ship them to you (non locals) for an up-charge of $15.
