Leftover debris from Hurricane Helene is keeping us from mowing the corner of Coffee Branch and highway 110. It's broken glass and metal and screws and things that need to be picked up by hand.
Saturday, September 13th Long's United Methodist Church will lead a cleanup day starting at 9:00 a.m. remove the remaining debris from the corner and get the space ready to be mowed again.
This is the gateway to the Coffee Branch and Henson Cove community and the place where we set Long's UMC sets up our hot dog fundraiser during the summer. We weren't able to do the fundraiser this year because of the mess. Would you come out and help us clean it up? We'll focus on the corner by the highway specifically, but if folks are feeling ambitious, I encourage the group to walk the road back to Long's UMC and pick up any trash on the roadside. Join us!
