Workers Over Billionaires, September 1
This is our next national day of action and we will be doing something totally different. We are going to be in the Canton Labor Day parade. Yes, you read that right. It's important that we honor the workers this day--this is not a "dump Trump" protest. We are showing support for workers through our signs, but they also highlight what's going on.
Your signs should go with the theme of the day. Here are some examples: "Workers Over Billionaires", "Tax the Rich", "People Over Profits", "Empower Workers", "Living Wage", "We are the 99%", "Health Care for All", "Immigrants Pay Taxes", "We pay for Medicare", "Stop Deporting Our Workers." Highly recommend smaller signs since you'll be walking with them. We will have a banner to walk behind.
The parade starts at 10:00 a.m. in Canton and forms on Blackwell Dr. We don't have the line-up time, but will get it to you as soon as we get it.
They are saying we'll know next week by Thursday or Friday.
