Please join us on Sunday at our service of Morning Prayer, as we continue our new series of Bible teaching on the life of Abraham from the book of Genesis.
Through the ups and downs of Abram's life, the big question still hanging over these chapters in Genesis, how will God come good on his promises? How can a childless couple ever become a great nation?
Abraham and Sarah even tried taking matters into their own hands with the birth of Ishmael by their servant Hagar. Aside from the disastrous consequences, they came to see that this was not God's plan for offspring.
Today we'll read these astonishing words: 'Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he has promised.'
That is to say that Sarah became pregnant, and bore a son to Abraham, despite their old age. God had kept his promise!
Our 10.30am service will include the Sunday Club for children, any children visiting today are welcome to join the group.
