The Brass Band is a large orchestra composed exclusively of brass and percussion. Very widespread in Great Britain, brass bands are both popular and serious, festive and classical, dazzling and delicate! In this large majestic family, an extraordinary ensemble was born in the year 2000: the Brass Band Méditerranée, affectionately nicknamed BBMed. Directed by Olivier Mauny, full professor of trumpet at the Conservatoire de Musique et d’Art Dramatique d’Antibes Juan-les-Pins, this ensemble of 35 musicians has forged a solid reputation through performances as diverse as they are captivating.
