AI Vibe Coding Bootcamp

Unlock your child's potential at a FREE AI-assisted "Vibe" coding bootcamp hosted by . You can expect the Bootcamp to be a dynamic, one-day workshop where young innovators learn to design, code, and launch their very own application in just five hours. This hands-on, classroom-based experience moves beyond traditional coding lessons by using artificial intelligence to transform creative ideas into real, working apps!

Guided by our lead instructor, Brad Wrobleski, MSc students will embark on a journey into the world of AI-assisted development. In a collaborative and supportive environment, they will learn how to communicate effectively with AI (a skill known as "prompting") to build and customize their projects. Whether they dream of creating a new game, a helpful mood tracker, or another unique tool, this workshop provides the foundation to bring that vision to life!

This event is designed as a "hackathon-style" experience, emphasizing creativity, rapid problem-solving, and teamwork. Our "learning by doing" approach ensures that every participant leaves not only with new skills but also with a finished project they are proud to share.

• Web Browser Software: Chrome, Safari, Edge, whatever the student is most comfortable with

Participants should have basic computer literacy skills including:

• Typing: They'll need to write prompts for the AI, so typing text is important.
• Using mouse or trackpad: Left/right clicking, dragging, and selecting text.
• Navigating Web Browsers: Find & open websites, logging in to accounts, etc.

Event will be professionally supervised by both senior Innovate Canmore staff as well as parents from the local community.
