Soma Circle invites you into connection with your body, through slowness, compassion, Mindfulness meaditation, and breathwork. Each series focuses on a different theme and includes optional reading.
We'll meditate, breathe, and practice gentle somatic movement for emotional release, with space to journal and share insights. We'll learn to bridge the mind body gap and reclaim our bodies as a place of safety as we explore the theme of global and personal grief.
This Grief Tending series is for anyone experiencing worry, fear, sadness /or anger, as they carry the weight of the world / or personal circumstances.
You'll be empowered as you learn:
- How to restore healthy patterns to your nervous system
- How to hold and move difficult emotions within and through the body
- How to assess your capacity & strengthen your energetic bondaries
- How to return to presence in the midst of grief and other difficult emotions
- How to hold space for yourself & those in your care
Soma Circle teachings and practices draw from a variety of trauma-informed therapeutic modalities including Somatic Experiencing and Hakomi. Soma Circle has deep roots in the science and psychology of connection.
NOTE: This series is open to adults of any gender, as well as couples and family members. Each Soma Circle is a small, closed group. You must be available to attend all 6 sessions. About the Facilitator: Sarah Wildwood, MA, RYT200, LPC Associate
Sarah is a Neurodivergent Somatic Psychotherapist & Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher specializing in transformational Mindfulness & Body-based practices. Sarah is also a mother of two, visual artist, poet, and deep thinker who loves to dance. She has become an advocate for grief after a series of personal losses and leans into the dance between joy and sorrow.
