Whistling from the Rooftops

Erika Simons (soprano) and Eun-Jung Byun (piano) will present a delicious program featuring late romantic musings by Sibelius and Zemlinsky offset by the formidable Ilse Werner, who sustained a career in Germany since the 1930s against all the odds. Know as the ‘musical whistler’, she gave her last performance on German television in 2001.
