ANU Debating is back for Semester 2! 🌟 Last semester we did 3v3 debates with the occasional reply speech. Now get ready for the British Parliamentary (BP) format of debating - 2 extra teams and 2 extra people! If you have no idea what we’re talking about, don’t worry. Whether you're completely new, have some experience or are a seasoned pro, come along to learn what debating is like at university and have some fun!
We'll provide everyone with a pizza, before splitting off into introductory presentations depending on how much experience you've had with debating before. If you're new, we'll answer any questions you have and introduce you to the basics of debating. If you've had some experience in the past, we'll give you a more advanced presentation on BP and how to win 🔥🔥
This is a great way to meet new people, catch up with old friends and get back into the semester ready for some comps and some fun!😻
Afterwards, we'll all watch the show debate that demonstrates the excellence of ANU Debating. With high quality arguments and intense competition, this is a debate you don't want to miss...
