About the event

Vigil for Canberra’s Kangaroos

Please join us for a vigil demonstration to remember the 2978 kangaroos and 1194 joeys who were brutally killed by the ACT Government this year.

We will be holding the vigil at the base of Mount Ainslie, a reserve that has been chosen for killing year after year.

We will have some speeches from those who were out on the ground and hope to catch the attention of the many walkers who visit Mount Ainslie on the weekend to bring awareness to what has gone on over the last month and a half under the cover of darkness.

We hope to see you there.
