AMaGA ACT is excited to welcome members for a Curator talk of The National Portrait Gallery’s The Immersive World of Thom Roberts. This is the first solo exhibition for multidisciplinary contemporary Australian artist Thom Roberts. Roberts’ bold portraits morph people with trains and buildings, inviting audiences to see the world through his eyes.
With the exhibition closing soon after, this is your final chance to see it and hear Curator Isobel Parker Philip speak about Thom’s practice and the process of bringing the exhibition together.
Isobel Parker Philip is the Director, Curatorial and Collection at the NPG. She was previously the Senior Curator of Contemporary Australian Art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Isobel will also do a Q&A with guests after the curator talk.
