Hello friends!
Conversation on Faith returns for our second session on Faith and Who We're Created To Be, where we're looking at understanding how God has gifted us with bodies, gifts, charisms and opportunities through which we can come to know him and witness his love and glory.
Following on from our discussion last week on Faith and Femininity, join us as we continue our discussion of God’s creation of us as male and female by delving into a Catholic approach to masculinity.
In a world where there has been almost universal criticism of masculinity and where many men feel they have no purpose, we will see how the spousal, sacrificial love of Christ, the bridegroom who gives himself wholly over to his bride, the Church, should define what it is to be a man.
Joining us via Zoom is acclaimed Catholic academic and speaker, Dr. Peter Holmes. Peter was trained and served as a Lutheran Minister before entering the Church and working in counselling and teaching roles. Peter has lectured in Scripture and Theology and has recently completed his PhD on the theology of masculinity. Peter is married with eight children and lives in Sydney, Australia.
As always, we will meet at Grill'd from 6pm and gather at the Haydon Hall from 7pm.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
