This month's Burning Pub will feature a visit from our friends at newly minted regional burn 'The Third Degree', so feel free to ask them anything you want to know before heading out to the burn later in September. Attending a burn is a whole new world, where an understanding of the principals and particularly radical self reliance, participation and communal effort has never been more crucial to your survival! But fear not, we've got you and together can help you prepare with tips and resources to get the most out of your burn and brainstorm innovative ways to participate with your unique skillset, personality and interests!
We will also hear from Cris & other local burners about their recent adventures at the renegade burn event 'Embers Burn' which was held at short notice following the cancellation of this years Burning Seed. Renegade burns are always a flashpoint of community spirit, ingenuity, and play resulting from the fast paced on the fly collaboration required to put them on with minimal time and planning, so we are particularly excited to hear about all the fun that occurred.
Jess will also give an update on the recent BONZA (Burners of New Zealand and Australia Oceanic Burner Conference and highlights from the weekend of talks.
