Join us to pack 3,000 birthing kits and help women in developing countries give birth safely.
This is the seventh year the Rotary Club of Canberra Sundowners has supported the Birthing Kit Foundation Australia by purchasing and packing birthing kits – and we need your help!
Each kit costs $5 and includes simple items to help women at home or with limited medical support deliver their babies safely with reduced exposure to disease and infection.
The Foundation distributes kits to remote regions of the developing world, where they have been proven to save the lives of mothers and their newborns.
This year’s event is part of Rotary International’s EPIC Day of Service, with thousands of Rotary clubs worldwide undertaking projects aimed at making a lasting difference.
Packing birthing kits is a fun and rewarding hands-on activity. Interested in making a difference? We’d love to see you there!
When: Saturday, 17 May (three shifts to choose from)
Where: Legacy House, 33 Geils Court, Deakin
