After you registered here’s what you will want to know!!
Canaan
Camping: Yes. We’ll be there Friday evening. If the cone is in the middle of the entrance when you arrive, please put it back after you enter and close the gate. It’s important to keep the riffraff out. We don’t really have a NLT time.
Morning Priorities: Let us know you are there. That will happen at the big, black trailer with all the popups in front, close to the track. We’ll check you in, and you can sign your release. (We typically get our act together by 7:15 or so. We don’t wake up as chipper as we used to . . .)
Facilities: They have portable toilets and 2 bathrooms. They also have a “rustic” shower setup outside that draws from the river. It’s not warm, but it’ll wake you up wicked good!
Food: We’ll have continental breakfast stuff (fruit, pastries, AMAZING coffee) and a catered lunch. You will need a lunch band to go through the food line; which you’ll receive at sign in.
Water – We’ll have plenty of water at Higher Headquarters (i.e., Robbie’s trailer) but no ice. You may want to bring a cooler with ice if you like cold water. It’s always a good idea to bring some kind of electrolyte-replacement to supplement. We’re going to work you hard.
Arrival Time – The gate opens officially at 7am. Sign in at the booth with your track wrist band and Canaan release (different from the Fishtail release)
Tech Inspection – Look for the Tech Inspection banner near Robbie’s trailer. Bring your bike and your signed Fishtail release. We’ll do the rest.
Safety Brief – The safety brief will be in the big barn at 8:30. A Group will have roughly 10 minutes to prep after the brief before they’re on track. B Group will have 20 minutes, and C Group will have 35 minutes. You can use that info to decide how dressed you want to be for the brief.
We’ll send an email 2 days before the event with any last-minute details you may need for the day.
