About the event

Survivors' Stories: National Day for Truth & Reconciliation
Following the events in Spirit Square on Tuesday, September 30, at 2:30 pm, the Tidemark Theatre and Liǧʷiłdaxʷ Health Society welcome the community to a gathering in honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation / Orange Shirt Day.

For the second year, Survivors of Residential Schools, Indian Day Schools, and boarding homes will share their Survivors’ Stories. This is a chance to come together, listen, reflect, and honour the experiences of Survivors and their families.

🌿 Support will be available: elders, healers, counsellors, and Campbell River Family Services will be on site to support both speakers and attendees.
🥟 Food will be provided: Fork and Arrow will serve nourishing, handheld foods.

This event is free and open to all. We encourage attendees to wear orange in solidarity and join us in listening and learning as we walk the path of reconciliation together.

This event is made possible in part by the generous support of the Campbell River Community Foundation.
