Rotary Club of Campbell River Invites EVERYONE in our Community to Join Fall Cleanup
Campbell River, BC – September 12, 2025 – The Rotary Club of Campbell River is calling on community volunteers to help clean up our forests, roads, beaches, and trails before the winter rains and winds set in.
The Community Fall Cleanup will take place on Thursday, September 18, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, starting at Nunn’s Creek Park. From there, volunteers will head to various locations around Campbell River, depending on the number of participants and cleanup needs.
If you know of an area that could use attention, or if you’d like to pick up garbage bags, borrow garbage pinchers, and get an area assigned in advance, please contact Tara Jordan at 250-202-7446 or
dGFyYSB8IHNtYWxscGxhbmV0ZW5lcmd5ICEgY2E=.
Thanks to the Comox Valley Regional District, tipping fee waivers will be provided for the collected waste.
For those finishing work or school later in the day, cleanup areas can be emailed out so you and your family or friends can still participate at a time that works best for you. Every bit helps—and the sooner the better, with winter just around the corner!
What’s provided: garbage pinchers, bags, and high-visibility vests.
What’s needed: volunteers, trucks or trailers for hauling garbage.
What you’ll get: the warm, fuzzy feeling of helping keep Campbell River beautiful.
Join us in taking care of our community together—your effort makes a difference!
