Tween Mystery Party: Like, Oh My Gosh...A M**der!

This event is for tweens ages 9-12

Our M**der Mystery parties are a blast! You will receive a character profile prior to the event. Show up that night as your character, have some dinner, some fun, maybe win some prizes and try to figure out Who Dun It! We are heading back to the 1980s!

Character assignments will be sent beginning July11th. This will include a description of your character so that you can plan out a look.

When you arrive at the library on the day of the event you must be in character and stay in character until the event is over. You will be given a script to read from so you don't need to come up with anything to say.

The event will be broken into 3 parts - a meet and greet, dinner and dessert. You will spread disinformation, gather facts and try to solve the mystery.

Prizes will be awarded for best costume, best character portrayal and correct whodunit solution. Please be creative with your costume but you do not need to spend money on your look. Use homemade props (even made out of paper), old Halloween costumes and raid your closets! The library has a costume collection from which you may borrow.

The guest list is stock full of big name celebrity guests who will undoubtedly hit the scene in outrageous '80s fashion! You are on the guest list and have received your invitation. There are a few names on the guest list that you dread having to be around for the night, but you wouldn't mind the exposure. This is where your story begins.
