Join award-winning poet, artist, and educator for a free poetry and garden experience for all ages, brought to you by NVHA and CFET! This family-friendly workshop invites you to learn about and participate in renga — a traditional Japanese form of collaborative poetry where a group of poets creates a single poem together composed of linked stanzas. Renga is the ancestor of the haiku and encourages community, connection, and creativity as each participant contributes a verse that builds on the one before it.
Following the poetry session, we’ll harvest seasonal herbs and vegetables from the CFET garden and turn them into a fresh salsa to enjoy in community. The perfect early fall activity! Registration is strongly encouraged.
