The Arts Center is breaking revolutionary ground and kicking off Rev War Week with a one-of-a-kind evening of food, drink, and immersive history! Hosted at the Arts Center of Kershaw County, this exciting event launches the countdown to Kershaw County’s legendary Carolinas Revolutionary War Weekend (Nov. 8–9) — the largest annual force-on-force Revolutionary War reenactment in the nation.
The Arts Center is proud to feature Liberty Live from Southern Campaign 1780 — renowned for their thrilling, hands-on educational programs enjoyed by students and history lovers.
Teasing Secrets from the Grave:
Step into the role of a battlefield archaeologist. Using realistic skeletal models and forensic tools, you’ll help “solve” centuries-old mysteries through techniques like simulated DNA testing and bio-archaeology. Guided by Dr. Tray Dunaway, Camden’s own battlefield surgeon, it’s science made understandable and unforgettable!
Battle in a Box:
Experience the Battle of Camden like never before — as a participant. Take up (non-firing) muskets and bayonets, follow expert reenactment coaches, and become a soldier in this pivotal clash of the American Revolution.
Tickets include all activities and heavy hors d’oeuvres (Beverages available for purchase).
This experience is recommended for patrons ages 13 to adult.
