Join us for an evening of Polish musical brilliance in the magnificent setting of Trinity College Chapel. Pianist Stanisław Majewski will present a programme featuring some of the greatest works of Poland’s musical heritage - from the romantic depth of Chopin and Moniuszko to the cinematic majesty of Kilar and the virtuosic brilliance of Paderewski.
Programme:
W. Kilar – Polonez from Pan Tadeusz
F. Chopin – 4 Mazurkas; Étude in E major, Op. 10 No. 3
S. Moniuszko – Prząśniczka and Pieśń wieczorna (arr. for piano solo by S. Majewski)
I. J. Paderewski – Krakowiak fantastyczny; Nocturne in B-flat major

Wiązanka melodii wielkopolskich (arr. for piano solo by S. Majewski)
W. Kilar – Waltz from The Promised Land
S. Moniuszko – Mazur from Halka
This event is organised by the Cambridge University Polish Society and supported by the Institute of Polish Language Development (Instytut Rozwoju Języka Polskiego) and Stowarzyszenie Aktywny Dialog. Admission is free, and seating will begin at 5:15 PM.
