Joint Evensong with The Gesualdo Six

On Friday 21 June at 6.30pm, the Choir of St John’s College will be joined by the acclaimed British vocal ensemble The Gesualdo Six for a special service of Choral Evensong in the College Chapel.

This special collaboration brings together two ensembles with a shared musical history. Several members of The Gesualdo Six have close ties to St John’s College: Joseph Wicks is a former Organ Scholar, while Alasdair Austin and Simon Grant are former Choral Scholars.

The service will include music by Josef Rheinberger, Orlando Gibbons, and Herbert Howells, featuring his much-loved Gloucester Service canticle setting.

All are welcome to attend. Tickets are not required, but seating is limited due to the ongoing organ renovation project.
