Cops & Bobbers

In conjunction with the Cambridge CAP, Dane County Sheriff’s Department and the Cambridge Area Lion’s Club, our local law enforcement officers will lead the group in an introductory environment to the fundamentals of fishing. From 9-10:30am July 14-18 at the Cambridge Fishing Ponds next to the Lions Clubhouse.

Topics covered include basic gear prep, how to bait a hook, how to cast, and how to catch the BIG ONE. Registration also includes free bait and fishing gear to keep. (For Grades 2-6; grade level based on 2024-25 school year). Register by 7/7/25 at https://cambridgecap.recdesk.com/Community/Home

Participants are encouraged to bring the following:
- Hat
- Water
- Sunscreen
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Shoes that can get wet and/or muddy if they go along the shoreline or in the water

A fishing pole, tackle and bait will be provided for each participant to use.
