Colin Currie Group showcase three generations of New York percussion. From one of the fathers of Minimalism, Steve Reich, to the acclaimed Bang on a Can member, Julia Wolfe, to one of her pupils and a star of the current generation, Andy Akiho. Reich’s hypnotic melodic and rhythmic patterns inspire the Big Apple energy of Wolfe and Akiho.
