CB1 Open Mic - August

CB1 open mic is back on Sunday 3rd August at the Town and Gown Pub & Theatre - Cambridge. As with all of our open mics, it will cost £2 Entry on the door. There will be plenty of slots so you can sign up on the night if you would like to read! Bring a poem or just come to listen to some fantastic poets from around Cambridge. Can’t wait to see you there at 18:30!

This month we're welcoming along the brilliant Stewart Carswell!

Stewart Carswell grew up in the Forest of Dean, and currently lives in Cambridgeshire, where he co-hosted the Fen Speak open mic ( https://www.fenspeak.co.uk/fenspeak) night for a number of years. He studied Physics at Southampton University, and has a PhD from the University of Bristol. His poems have recently been published in Under the Radar, Finished Creatures, Atrium, Ink Sweat & Tears, and The Storms Journal. His pamphlet "Knots and branches" (Eyewear Publishing, 2016) was followed by his debut collection "Earthworks" (Indigo Dreams, 2021). Find out more at https://www.stewartcarswell.co.uk
