Featuring Frog on a Bike Ceilidh Band, this is a dance for everyone, from any walk of life in Cambridge, to come together and make merry in the beautiful surroundings of the Storey’s Field Community Centre. The main aim of this dance is to be fun and welcoming to all, whether you want to dance to meet new people, exercise or are already an addict! No experience is required!
Cambridge based Frog on a Bike are one of the East of England's premier professional ceilidh bands. For over 30 years they have been packing dance floors at festivals, weddings and parties throughout the East and beyond. They also have a highly respected reputation on the English ceilidh series circuit.Composers and creative interpreters of traditional tunes, Frog on a Bike’s frenetic energy, distinctively big folk-rock sound and driving rhythm is guaranteed to have you up and dancing. With a luscious line-up of sumptuous melodeon, recorder, fiddle and mandolin, backed by a riotous rhythm section of bass and drums, you won’t be disappointed you came along for a ride with this treasure from the Fens.
Frog on a Bike are: Tom Sennett (melodeons), Sarah Sennett (recorders), Tim Sparrow (fiddles and mandolin) Garry Cutress (bass) and Paul O’Neill, founding member of the Bolton Iron Maiden (drums).
Guiding you through the dances will be Ollie Simons, one of the most charismatic and in demand young dance callers currently on the ceilidh scene. He’s also a member of more Morris dance teams than you would think possible at once! Ollie’s calling is infectious, you can’t help but dance with a grin on your face!

Grab a partner and get ready to swirl and twirl to the beat of the music. Our experienced caller will guide you through each dance, so don't worry if you're new to ceilidh dancing.
