Calling New England artists, arts administrators, and curators of all experience levels wanting to expand their creative network! Join us for a fun, enlightening evening of community and connection. We will host a short panel for special guests and friends of the gallery to reflect on their career journeys, share insights, and explore the value of community in the arts, followed by freeform networking for all attendees. This event will be hosted by the staff and board of Gallery 263.

Special Guests:
Jameson Johnson is a writer, curator, and community organizer based in Boston. She is the founder and executive director at Boston Art Review, an online and print publication founded in 2017 committed to facilitating discourse around contemporary art across New England. She has held positions at the MIT List Visual Arts Center and currently serves on the board of Catalyst Conversations and the Foundry Arts Consortium’s Advisory Committee as well as the MassArt Auction Committee. She has curated exhibitions at Boston Center for the Arts, Fountain Street Gallery, and Boston Cyberarts, as well as served on numerous juries across New England. Her writing has appeared in Artsy, Artnet, Upstate Diary, and the Boston Globe among others.
Michael Rose is a gallerist and writer based in Providence, Rhode Island. Since 2014, he has served as Gallery Manager at the historic Providence Art Club, where he instituted the Club's first ever College Biennial, Community Invitational, and earned seven consecutive Best of RI Awards. Michael has also written extensively about local art and artists, contributing to publications like Art New England and Big Red and Shiny. From 2021-2025, he authored the popular weekly column Inside Art for local news site GoLocalProv. In 2024 he founded New England Art News, a weekly Substack newsletter and accompanying blog that circulates resources and profiles artists. Michael earned his BA in Art History at Providence College and his Certificate in Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Art at New York University.
Liv Biel is Exhibitions Manager at the ICA/Boston. She has overseen the installation of over a dozen exhibitions including Sara Cwynar: Alphabet, Charles Atlas: About Time, Tau Lewis: Spirit Level, Wu Tsang: Of Whales, lgshaan Adams: Lynloop, and a traveling survey of Firelei Báez, among others. Previously, Liv was Project Manager at Kate Chertavian Fine Art, an art advisory firm based in Boston. As an arts administrator and Cambridge resident, Liv is committed to uplifting artists and arts workers in the greater Boston region.
Paige Roehrig is an arts administrator and Executive Director of the Copley Society of Art (Co|So), the oldest nonprofit art association in the United States. Her work focuses on creating equitable spaces that foster dialogue, support creative place-keeping, and provide meaningful platforms for artists. She has led programs at the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston and Western Avenue Studios and Lofts in Lowell, advancing artist fellowships, fiscal sponsorships, and community-centered exhibitions. Paige is also the Director of Programs and Co-Founder of HerSector, a group supporting women and women-presenting people in the arts, and will begin teaching Arts Management at Merrimack College in Spring 2026.
Ellen Buchanan is an arts administrator and community organizer in Cambridge and beyond. They are passionate about working with artists and have a strong background in arts administration, working in both nonprofit and commercial galleries previous to their current role as the Gallery Manager at a local art consulting firm. Ellen approaches gallery curation with focus on current trends and a cultivated knowledge of artists in the greater Boston area. Ellen is passionate about building community and making connections, and has a background in gallery management, event organizing, and fundraising. They are thrilled to bring their passion and industry knowledge to Gallery 263 as a board member.
