An Introduction to Millinery

Join milliner Susan Widlake on 7 June for a creative workshop in hat-making. Spend the day learning how to shape, pleat and sew sinamay to create your own sculptural headpiece.

Open to both beginners and those who have experience in textiles.

Susan will introduce participants to the basics of millinery, including how to make a structured base, add simple trims, and explore traditional etiquette around wearing hats. All materials are included, and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. Go home with a finished headpiece and new skills to continue making at home.
