A very special night, with top UK blues act Jimmy Regal and the Royals bring along the Regal Horns for their debut at the fabulous Login Lounge, Camberley.
Recognised as one of the UK’s most forward-looking roots/blues acts, the band's sound travels from North Mississippi to the vibrant streets of New Orleans, through the rich musical heritage of Mali to the gritty vibes of Canvey Island.
Joff Watkins is one of the best harmonica players in the country and built his reputation as a session player for top acts including Rhoda Dakar, Shola Ama and renowned Senegalese musician Diabel Cissokho.
A prolific songwriter and session player, guitarist Corin Williams stands apart due to his unique technique, which blends bass, rhythm and lead in one package to drive the heart of the band.
Drummer Sammy Samuels cut his teeth touring Australia, Canada and the US and has developed a highly original rhythmic style to underpin the sound.
“Jimmy Regal and the Royals is one hell of a blues band and 'First and Last Stop' is one hell of a blues album.” Blues Matters
Mojo Magazine awarded the First and Last Stop album four stars.
The band has been featured on the BBC Radio 2 Blues Show with Cerys Matthews, on Radio 4 and on stations right around the world.
