Program Name: Washougal Parks PassportProgram
Purpose: Encourage exploration, service, and learning in local parks through a fun, stamp-based incentive program for kids and families.
Key Components:
Participation: Open to youth and families. Through the Parks Passport program, participants (all ages, families, and friends are welcome) will have opportunities to meet local social, environmental, and civic organizations. Visit with your neighbors, learn some trivia about our parks, and give back to the areas we hold dear.
Goal: Complete 3 themed activities per park — service, educational, and creative — and earn a stamp at each. Every second Saturday we will conduct an hour of community service (great time for Adopt a Park, Park Pals, and Washougal Wins service hours) in a Washougal park. After the community service, there will be two hours of crafts, activities, and education opportunities.
Passport: Small booklet with sections for each featured park. The passport program is still in the early stages of development, however, we are looking at ways to record participation and reward those who repeatedly engage in the program.
How to Participate:
1. Pick up a passport booklet at events.
2. Visit participating parks and complete 1–3 themed tasks.
3. Collect a stamp or signature for each task.
4. Drop off completed passports (still in development)
Soft Launch Date: July 4, 2025
Full Rollout: Summer 2025
