Join us for Calstock Folk on 23rd August, from 1pm into the evening, celebrating live folk music across several stages, acoustic fireside session, local food and real ales. Come get involved, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the best of Calstockβs vibrant folk spirit!
General admission - daytime until 7pm (free)
Evening admission - from 7pm - (Β£10 per ticket)
There will be 3 stages (main, fireside acoustic and buskers), workshops, food and local ales.
Our local Morris group βThe Border Wreckersβ will kick of proceedings with some dancing and music on the green. They will then run a music workshop for anyone curious about Morris and then do a later performance with workshop attendees.
Then will have a Nos Lowen accompanied by the Callington Kelliwig band and lead by Rosie Fierek.
The main stage in the hall will offer a variety of folk styles, playing from 2 -10pm. Julian Gaskell and his Ragged Trousered Philanthropists will headline (9.30 - 10.30ish).
The outdoor, (fireside in the evening) acoustic sessions on the patio will be alternating with main stage offering an authentic summertime feel.Our buskers stage will be for anyone who wants to have a go on a less formal stage, youβre welcome to put out your hats!
There will be food/drinks/ale.
