Momigami & Bookmaking Workshop

Learn the traditional Japanese art of Momigami (“kneaded paper”). This starching technique transforms paper, making it soft, flexible, and remarkably durable. Momigami is perfect for various crafts like bookbinding, sewing, and scrapbooking. Artists also incorporate it into sculptural forms and collage work.

✨ Workshop Details:
In this session, you’ll:
• Discover how to prepare and apply starch
• Knead papers to achieve the desired texture
• Cover and stitch your own booklet
By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with:
• The booklet you created
• A selection of Momigami papers
• Enough starch and the skills to continue crafting confidently at home.

All materials are provided, including a variety of printed and plain papers, starch, thread, tools, and more.
