Eco Dyeing Workshop - at Caloundra Arts Centre

𝗘𝗰𝗼 𝗗𝘆𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽
Discover the art of eco dyeing—a natural, sustainable technique that uses plant materials to transfer pigments and create beautifully unique patterns and colours on fabric and paper.

𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, with Natalie Billing, 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼:
• prepare a botanical dye brew
• dye two scarves (one wool jersey, one silk) using a high-heat eucalyptus brew process
• create and dye an artist book with a lower-heat stencil technique
• explore alternative book formats and creative ways to use leftover materials
