The Traditions Through the Lens Photography Workshop Series
We’re thrilled to announce the return of the Traditions Through the Lens series! Join us for the 2nd Annual shootout edition, “Capturing the Indigenous Spirit” a powerful celebration of Indigenous culture through the art of photography.
🌿 Experience Culture & Tradition
This year, we gather at the stunning Ralph Klein Park in Calgary, where nature’s wetlands provide the perfect backdrop for artistry and storytelling. Be moved by the spirit of Indigenous heritage as Chantal Stormstrong Chagnon blesses us with live drumming and singing, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for photographers.
✨ What to Expect at This Year’s Workshop:
i) Dynamic Performances – Capture the color, movement, and vibrancy of powwow dances.
ii) One-on-One Sessions – Photograph Indigenous models in both traditional and fashion-forward regalia.
iii) Indoor & Outdoor Shooting – Enjoy access to a professional studio setup and the natural beauty of Ralph Klein Park’s wetlands.
💡 With the support of our generous sponsors City of Calgary, Backdrops Gallery, Nanlite, and Cheetah Stand, you’ll have access to professional tools and equipment to help you create with precision and artistry.
