Tap In Thursday: Connect. Create. Co-work

Whether you need to get in the zone, get with community or get advice we’ve got a place for you at the Social Innovation Hub. Drop in for free to work in our beautiful coworking space, make friends and even pick the brains of advisors with expertise in IP, Investments and Community Building.

Drop ins are available between 9:30am - 4:00pm. When you register, select the 9:30am timeslot but come whatever time that day works for you.



WHO WILL BE THERE

You of course! But we have a few advisors that will also be there to work and be in community. Feel free to chat with them about your business or project and pick their brains on any ideas you may have.


  • Maris Apse (afternoon only)

Maris is the Director, Life Sciences, Technology Transfer within Innovate Calgary. If you have questions about intellectual property, business modeling, or ways to secure the sustainability of a research based social enterprise, he is happy to chat! Learn more about Maris.


  • Brad Andrews

Brad is an Associate with the UCeed Investment Funds and supports the Social Impact Fund. If you have questions about fundraising, what it means to be investment ready or about the UCeed Social Impact fund, connect with him! Learn more about Brad.


  • Chantal Palmer

Chantal is the Community Manager, Strategy and Engagementfor the Social Innovation Hub. If you have questions about marketing, storytelling, building community or the Social Innovation Hub, she would love to chat! Learn more about Chantal.


  • Kelli Stevens

Kelli is the Social Impact Lead at Haskayne School of Business and is here to help connect socially-minded organizations (non-profits, charities, and social enterprises) with various resources and programs at the business school. This Fall, she’ll be joining Tap In Thursdays on September 18 and October 16 to share information about the Propel program. Sign up for Propel by October 20 and get 50 hours of pro bono support for your organization. HOW WILL IT WORK

Register so we know how many folks to expect and just come on down. Coworking space, library, wellness room, phone booths and drop in boardrooms will be available to the public on September 18, October 16, November 20, December 18, January 15, February 19.

Tours will be available at noon.

The Creative Studio and bookable boardrooms will be available to members of the Hub.

Parking is available at the premises for $10 a day. We are also a 5 minute walk from the Brentwood Station Park and Ride.
