About the Poets:

Weyman Chan resides on Treaty 7 Territory in Mohkinstsis (Calgary). He is author of 6 books of poetry, and is a past finalist for the Governor General's Award in poetry. He is recipient of the 2021 Latner Griffin Writers Trust Poetry Prize.

Patrick Horner is a Canadian just moved back from Denmark, he is embedded in both the literary and technological communities. With a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Patrick has forged a distinguished career in developing advanced water treatment technologies. His literary contributions include his debut poetic novel, 'Refugia,' published by the University of Calgary Press in 2022. Patrick's passion for poetry and film has led him to significant roles such as the co-director of the Nature and Culture, Copenhagen International Poetry Film Festival, and as the Canadian Ambassador for the Poetic Phonotheque, an online international archive of multimedia poetry. His poetry and short fiction have garnered international recognition, appearing in various journals and magazines. Beyond his writing, Patrick is an active cultural organizer, facilitating writing workshops, readings, and collaborative cultural events, notably with cultural organizations like Red Door Gallery and Literaturhaus.

aloT of Poetry is a Nigerian-South African poet based in Treaty 7 Her work moves through the ever-evolving experience of being alive: mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally threading tenderness into every line. Through voice and verse, she offers poems as both mirrors and bridges, inviting deep collective reflection and connection. Her performances carry an intimate resonance, encouraging audiences to lean in and find themselves within the lines. She has collaborated with Arts Commons, CSPACE, The Grand Theatre, and others. In 2025, her debut collection, A Lot of People, sold out at its June launch. Her work appears in F-Word Magazine, YYC POP Anthology, and more.

Angeline Schellenberg is a neurodivergent Winnipeg poet, photographer, spiritual director, host of the Speaking Crow open mic, and author of three full-length collections: the Manitoba Book Award-winning Tell Them It Was Mozart (Brick Books, 2016) about mothering autistic children; the KOBZAR-nominated, elegiac Fields of Light and Stone (University of Alberta Press, 2020); and the synapse-muddling Mondegreen Riffs (At Bay Press, 2024), named one of the Winnipeg Free Press reviewers’ Best Books of 2024.
