Introduction to Grant Writing Pt. 2

Got a creative idea for your community but don’t know how to fund it?

This free, beginner-friendly workshop is for grassroots organizers, artists, and local residents who want to bring their ideas to life—but feel overwhelmed by the grant process or have struggled to get funding in the past.

This is Part Two of a two-part grant writing workshop series.

Part Two will be a smaller, more hands-on session focused on developing actual applications. Participants will get personalized support to flesh out their ideas, draft key sections, and receive feedback. You will need to have a project/proposal idea to work on.

This session will help you:

• Understand the types of grants available
• Prepare a solid grant proposal
• Receive feedback on your draft application

Whether you’re planning an art project, community event, or grassroots initiative—this workshop will help you take the first step towards securing funding.

Attendance at Part One is encouraged, but not required to join Part Two. Attendees of Part One will receive priority registration.

About the Facilitator:

Led by , photographer, community organizer, and grant writer who has secured over $800,000 in funding in the last few years for arts and community projects.
