☕ Coffee & Conversations is back! ☕💬
Join us on Saturday, September 27, from 10 - 11am MDT for a free and open discussion on Supporting Healthy Relationships in Youth!
Strong, respectful relationships are at the heart of every young person’s well-being—but learning how to build them isn’t always easy. From navigating friendships and partner dynamics to understanding consent and setting boundaries, many youth are figuring it out as they go.
We’re excited to have Ashley Barclay from the Centre for Sexuality, a leading organization offering education and counseling to support healthy relationship development. Ashley will guide us through practical tools and strategies to help young people grow their confidence and communication skills in all kinds of relationships.
What we’ll dive into:
🔑 How youth understand and experience relationships
🗣️ Supporting youth in developing strong communication skills
👥 Understanding and teaching consent in age-appropriate ways
💪 Tools to foster self-respect and respect for others
This session is perfect for mentors, parents, educators, or anyone who supports youth in building the skills they need to thrive in relationships. Whether you’re navigating tough conversations or simply looking for tools to guide youth in healthy ways, you’ll leave with new insights, resources, and confidence in your role!
✨ Hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area, this event is open to all! Come connect, learn, and share insights with others passionate about supporting youth.
