We all know what it feels like to be left out of a room we're technically “allowed” to be in.
A class. A workplace. A meeting. A conversation.
Inclusion isn’t just about ramps or posters - it’s about the quiet decisions that shape how we design policies, classrooms, workplaces, and public spaces.
In this lecture, Steven Sheppard, doctoral researcher in disability studies and educator unpacks the invisible systems that normalize exclusion. From “special rooms” to coded media, from school to workplace design, he shows how ableism is taught long before it’s named.
Together, we’ll rethink design, belonging, and the futures we build when access comes first.
Don't miss out on this important conversation!
