Battletech is the science-fiction miniatures game where players control towering robotic constructs, called battlemechs, that weigh anywhere from 20 to 100 tons and combine tons of armour plating with a bristling array of myriad weapon systems.

This will be an afternoon dedicated to casual play in the universe of Battletech and will be appropriate for both new and established players!

PLACE: Imaginary Wars Gaming and Hobbies
**SCENARIO: STOP THE LAUNCH!**
The Player Force has been dispatched to prevent the Word of Blake in launching a nuclear-armed missile. The Players will have a limited number of turns either to defeat all opposition, or capture and maintain main objectives, to prevent the launch of the missile. Enemy forces are well-entrenched, so expect fierce opposition from the Word of Blake!
All player-controlled pilots at the table will be at 3 Gunnery / 4 Piloting and that value is not included in the cost of the 'Mech.
**PLAYERS INTERESTED IN ATTENDING**
Please bring the following:
- 1 'Mech Miniature - maximum Battle Value is 2,200 BV
(Clan 'Mechs found in the Inner Sphere faction, or Mercenary list are allowed at the table)
- Record Sheet of the corresponding 'Mech and Vehicle
Unit Selection is limited to that of the Jihad Era from the Master Unit List website. (Jihad - Master Unit List), with any non 'Word of Blake' or 'Comstar' Faction.
- 'Mech selection can be with units that have Advanced, Standard, and Introduction Rules.
- Players CANNOT BRING: named Units, 'Mechs possessing Artillery Weapons, 'Mechs with Experimental Rules, are considered Experimental Technology base, or any 'Mechs that belong too or are affiliated with the 'Word of Blake' Faction.
- All Player pilots will be upgraded to 3/4 at the beginning of the game at no cost.
- Pairs of six-sided dice
- Pencils
- Erasers
**NEW PLAYERS NEEDING A BATTLEMECH:**
Game masters will have a selection of 'Mechs, record sheets, dice, pencils and erasers available for people that have never played (or don't have said materials with them).
Beginning players are welcome to attend!
**SCENARIO DETAILS & EXTRA RULES**
Players will be granted 1 Point of Edge, that will allow you to re-roll a singular dice roll either caused by the Player, or that the Player must make.
*Any rules (etc) not listed below will not be used in this scenario/mission:*
- Specialist ammunition types (armor piercing, inferno, etc)
- Floating Crits
- Careful Stand
- Backward level changes
- Sprinting
- Hurried Movement
- One-Armed Prone Fire
